Sunday

I woke at 7.00 this morning and felt wide awake after my early night so I got up and showered. I thought Jon was up, too but when I got down he was still in bed and didn't get up till 9.30. He says he needs to start getting up in the morning at a sensible time and I agree with him - Bertie needs routine!!

We waited around again for a long time  for Bertie but in the end Jon decided to have a shower anyway. I hung out some washing and took Tot out and then we went into Fraser Cove for a coffee yeah we are out!!! And it was very nice.

We then went to the supermarket and Jon took charge of the trolley while I marched around and brought things back to the trolley, I probably walked twice as far as I would normally do but at least Jon was out and 'doing' something. I think by the time we got to the checkout he was glad of the trolley and was using it like a walking frame.

We drove home and I did a bit of cleaning and Jon watched some TV before I made lunch.

I put the sun lounger out in the garden as it was nice and warm and Jon went to sit outside.

I spent the afternoon making a spiced pumpkin cake and some little lemon buns all of which look pretty good and there are plenty to go into the freezer.

We had a cup of tea and then I brought the washing in. Totty went out into the garden with me and went down to the water. When I had finished I tried to call her but she is still so deaf. I had to walk down the garden and try and catch her attention. She was walking along the edge and I didn't want to give her a fright in case she fell in. The ear drops are finished now so I think I had better take her back to the vet and see what he thinks.

My friend Viv called today to ask if we can meet one day for a coffee as she will be going back up to Auckland on Wednesday or Thursday so we arranged to meet on Tuesday after keep fit.

I cooked dinner and we watched the Grand Prix and then watched NZ Got Talent!!!! Simon Cowell would hate it.

Another early night for me and then hopefully I can be up early again tomorrow. We have some very wet weather forecast for tomorrow though :-(
