We were up today just like a normal day again and both getting ready to go out and it worked. Jon was ready to leave by 8.30 o pretty good going. He didn't sleep much better last night though and neither did I - one day.
The builder arrived at 8.00 and started knocking more beams and posts down, it is so noisy and the dog just barks so I had to close the curtain on the door so she can't see them and just keep her downstairs so she can't see out of the bedroom either.
I left and went to my keep fit class which was really good this morning, a different routine and really good 60s music. I stayed for a coffee and a chat and then on my way home stopped into the blood testing place at the local surgery. The surgeon gave us a form and said Jon needs blood tests every three months but he didn't say when to start so I thought I would ask at the surgery. The receptionist told me to leave the form and the lady in charge would sort it out and call us when he needs the first one.
I got home and the phone rang and it was the blood clinic and she said she was looking for Jon to do the test!!! Anyway to cut a long and very annoying story short I need to collect the blood form from them and Jon needs to go for the first test three months after his surgery. I really think she could have been more pleasant the way she told me but never mind it takes all sorts.
I did some washing, housework and cleaning and got a lot done. I haven't had a morning like this for a long time. I had lunch and watched neighbours and then did some ironing.
I had a long phone call to my friend Janice who I haven't spoken to for ages as she has been away at Rotary meetings with her husband and then had grandchildren to look after so it was good to catch up.
Jon was not home by 2.30 so I called the office and Tracey, the receptionist, said that she could just hear voices and so it sounded as though the meeting was finishing. I told her to tell Jon to come home so she said she would pass the message on and she did as he was home soon after. He had a good morning and found the drive no more uncomfortable than when he is a passenger. He didn't do much else for the rest of the day though.
I cooked shepherds pie for dinner and then we watched some TV.
It is pretty cold again tonight and we might have a frost in the morning!!!
WEATHER
Cloudy with sunny spells and showers 14 degrees
