I had a lie in till 8.30 today mainly as I could not sleep last night and was awake for a long time.
I had a shower and washed my hair and then made a cup of tea and was on the computer when Heather called and chatted to us both and by the time she ended the call it was too late for breakfast for me. I couldn't be bothered to go and get coffee so we actually had one here!!
I didn't do much all morning apart from a few jobs around the house.
We had lunch - corned beef and horseradish sandwich!!! I can't remember the last time we had that and it was very nice.
We were due to go out to the Genera function but Bertie has not been doing much lately and so we waited to see if he would. It is really difficult to know what to do - go out or stay and hope for the best. I suppose once we are more confident we will just go out and cope with whatever happens.
By 3.00 nothing had happened so we went with fingers crossed. Jon took his cushion in the car but it was still uncomfortable. We arrived at the blow kart place and as it was so windy they were unable to use them so were using the drift karts instead and hopefully the wind would drop later. There were about 40 or so there and all were pleased to see Jon and we stood chatting for a while.
We then went across to the other side of the site to where they were doing archery and paintball shooting at animal targets and everyone was enjoying themselves. The lamb was on the spit roasting ready for a 5.00 meal.
We stayed for about an hour and then Jon felt he needed to sit down so we left which was a shame as it looked like a lot of fun although I did have a go at the shooting.
We stopped off at the butcher on the way back and the baker to buy a cake for tea. I bought an apple and custard swirl and she gave me one free as it was the end of the day.
We got home and had a cuppa and then I read my book for a while.
I cooked dinner - pork chops with apple, cider, mustard and cream which was very nice.
After a bit of TV it was time for bed.
WEATHER
Sunny spells but very windy 18 degrees
