An upset tummy

I was awake till 2.15 last night finishing my book, it was so good. Now I have to start a new one, I hate starting new books!

Jon was not well this morning and I am not sure what it was that upset him. It could have been the beans or the carrot and beetroot that he had in a sandwich at lunchtime. Whatever it was he was not good. It doesn't take much to knock him back these days. He chatted to Heather when she called and then he went back to bed for a lie down.

He got up later but it was too late to go into the office and he was still not right so he phoned to say he would work from home. He went downstairs and I did the ironing and watched some TV.

I made lunch but he could only manage a piece of toast and then went back to bed.

The district nurse came and I woke him. she wanted to have a look at the stitches around the stoma and take them out and he had not been looking forward to it. Fortunately, when she looked, they had all gone so they must have come out on their own in the shower - he was relieved.

I talked with the nurse telling her it was very difficult thinking of meals that satisfy both of us I think I might make a cookery book!!

Jon went back downstairs to the office and I did more ironing when she left.

We had an email to say the builder would be here tomorrow morning at 7.30 - 8.30. The owner asked if the builder could use one of our sockets to plug tools in. Not sure how long he is going to need that and if it is a lot who is going to pay for it. I am not being mean but this will not benefit us, quite the reverse it is going to be a pain and i don't see why we should be paying full rent, having all the inconvenience AND paying for the electricity to do it!!!

I just cooked plain fish, mashed potato, parsley sauce and peas for dinner tonight. Jon really enjoyed it, I hated it. Never mind it is good for the diet!!

I am off to the Red Cross tomorrow so somebody is coming over from the offfice to pick Jon up as he won't be ready to leave when I do. I will pick him up later. I have made him a sandwich to take so that is a good sign that he intends to stay for a while. Hopefully, tonight's dinner will not have any side effects.

WEATHER
Overcast with some very heavy showers 16 degrees
