A wet Monday

I was up bright and early again this morning and got all my sheets on to wash though I had to use the dryer as the weather was not good.

Jon didn't get up till late again as he said he had a bad night.

I spent the morning doing the usual Monday housework and cleaned out the fire as I thought we would probably need to light it later - no sun means very cold house!

I managed to get Tot out for her walk. I will have to take her to the vet as she is still deaf and the medication is finished now so not sure if her hearing will come back at all.

Jon did a bit of work down in the office but came up and felt bad so went and had a lie down. I had to wake him for his lunch.

I had called the surgery to request a repeat of the Tramadol as he had finished all he got from the hospital. They told me it would be ready for collection later in the day so after lunch I went down to collect it.

I could not believe that they charge $20 for a repeat prescription - that is ten pounds!!!! Seems surgeries down here are going the same way as the UK surgeries - making money is what is important.

I got back home and did all my ironing and got the beds re made.

I decided to make a tarte tatin this afternoon and had a disaster with it once again. I used to knock them out with no problems in the UK but don't seem to be able to find a good recipe and have a lot of trouble with the caramel. I made it twice today and neither worked very well. I just don't know what I am doing wrong.

Jon had fallen asleep again and so by the time I had finished my cooking disasters and got the dinner ready I had to wake him. He will be very lucky if he sleeps tonight but I don't think I will have a problem.

WEATHER
Cloudy with some heavy showers 18 degrees
