Could not believe Tot last night she did another poo in the bedroom and I have been so careful with her food and don't give her anything other than her meals. Once I had cleaned it up I then spent ages lying awake thinking that to move into a brand new house with new carpets would not be such a good idea as I would constantly be worrying about the dog 'doing' something. I really don't know why she won't bark to wake me now like she used to.
Once up this morning I had to clean the carpet again!!
I cooked us some scrambled eggs for breakfast and then took Totty out for a walk and Jon came, too. It was a lovely day really warm and sunny. We got back and I hung out the washing and then we went off for a coffee.
We just went down to Bayfair and then on the way back took the rest of the recycling as I want to sort out the garage.
We got back and I asked Jon to sort out the shelves in the garage when he felt like he could stand long enough to do it. I cleaned the rest of the garage which, due to storing the logs there, was very dusty. I took the kayak out and washed that ready to put it on Trademe to sell as I really don't think we are going to get a house near the water again.
It really didn't take long and apart from the end coming off the hose and soaking me it all went pretty well.
We had lunch and then went to sit in the garden. The new lounger I bought yesterday is not very good and seems to like folding me up inside it! Totty was not impressed either and went to sit with Jon on 'my' sun lounger!!!
We had been growing some silver beet in the planters but it was not doing very well so I asked Pat, from next door, if he would like it to put in his vege bed to see if it would do better. He said he would so I dug it all up and gave it to him. I also gave him all the off cuts of wood that the man down the road gave to me a few weeks ago as I don't think we will be having many more fires at least I hope not, I put it all in the builders wheelbarrow and Pat came round to take it. So far he has not brought the barrow back so I will have to be up early in the morning and pop round and get it before the builder comes and wonders where it is!!
My friend, Lorraine, called to say that the man who owns the new house we were hoping to rent has now decided he is going to live in it so we have lost that one. I more or less knew we didn't have it and maybe it is a good thing as if people mess you around and can't say yes or no then it is not worth getting involved.
I cooked a pork hock for dinner which was OK but the mashed potato and broccoli were still like invalid food but once again Jon enjoyed his dinner so never mind.
We watched NZ Got Talent and I have to say it is as fixed as the UK and US, such a shame. Some good acts but so fixed.
I found a nice house tonight and it is on the site of my friend's husband's agency. It has a pool and looks nice so hopefully we can get to see that one tomorrow as well as the other one.
