A nice sunny day

We were both up at t sensible time this morning and I cooked breakfast and we were able to have it out on the deck for the first time this spring.

I tried to call Malcolm this morning but he was not in, probably at the pub as it was Friday night.

Bertie was well behaved and so Jon was ready early and came out for a walk with me and Totty.

When we got back I hung out some washing and then we drove over to Maungatapu (where we used to live) to look at a house that Jon had seen was for rent. It is right down on the water so would be good for the kayak but unfortunately it is very close to the bypass and I think the noise would be constant. I know it is not like a main UK road but it is still quite busy. The house, from the outside looked nice but it was very close to the neighbour and the garden was not fenced. In a way I am glad it was not suitable as I think a move now would be too much for Jon.

We then went into Tauranga and had a coffee and a lovely date scone. It was then off to the library again - Jon has never read so many books in such a short space of time!!

I bought some birthday cards on the way back to the car park and by the time we got back to the car Jon was very tired. I think he needs to start going out everyday and just walk around the block to get back into doing something.

He had to have a lie down when we got back before I made lunch.

This afternoon was lovely so we sat out in the garden but clouds kept coming over and then it would feel quite cold.

I cooked a tomato and lamb sauce tonight and we had it with spinach and pasta and it was tasty and then we had pears with ice cream and hot chocolate sauce which was yummy.

The forecast for tomorrow is not good so not sure what we will do.

WEATHER
Mostly sunny with some cloud 19 degrees
