A busy day in the kitchen

I felt so tired again this morning and really had to drag myself out of bed when the alarm went off just in case I went back to sleep.

I got ready and went to my keep fit class. I had told Jon the time I was leaving and he was having breakfast and watching TV and just as I was about to go he said he needed my help with Bertie!!! I had to go and he managed on his own. He needs to listen to me when I tell him things.

I had a really good class and worked hard. I stayed fora  quick chat and then went to the hospital to collect the cushion. When I got there they told me it was broken, we already knew that, and it could not be repaired. They are trying to get another one but not sure how long it will take.

i nipped into the hospital coffee bar to get some coffee to take to Jon. I noticed on the door that they have a Norovirus outbreak there, I am glad Jon has had his surgery and is home as that would be horrible.

I got back and a builder had parked across the car porch so I couldn't get in, he was waiting for the owner - another quote. We had our coffee and Jon was fine and had managed to change Bertie on his own.

I got ready to take Tot out and just as I got out there was a big black cloud coming over and it was starting to rain so we went back in only for it to pass by with not much rain so we went out again.

We had a tin of vegetable soup for lunch and I thought it tasted spicy but Jon didn't say anything. Unfortunately, later in the afternoon Jon had a bad reaction to it so we won't be having spicy for a while yet.

Jon managed to go down to the office for a little while and do some work while I did the ironing. I think he stayed too long sitting and then had to have a lie down but at least that is progress.

I had a busy afternoon in the kitchen. I used the half tin of condensed milk I had leftover from a previous recipe and made coconut macaroons. I then cooked chicken cacciatore, the recipe came from one of my cookery sites I look at and we will have that tomorrow. I cooked lambs liver for dinner and made more of the little buns that I made the other day and Jon likes so much. So all in all pretty busy afternoon.

We had dinner and then watched some TV then Jon did some jigsaw and I did my blog and now I am off to have an early night.
