Not sure if it was as cold as this at this time last year but it is still pretty miserable.
Jon was watching the F1 this morning which was recorded. He had had a good night last night which surprised me after such a long afternoon nap.
I made breakfast and then I took Totty out for her walk. I am not sure but I think she might be able to hear a little - fingers crossed.
We went into Tauranga for a coffee and Jon managed to sit in the car and didn't make any noises while I was driving so that is an improvement - that is with his bottom not my driving for any of you who are thinking that!!!
We had a really good coffee and shared a date scone which was yummy - I hope it doesn't affect him.
We then went to the library and I read the magazines while he chose his books.
We then went across to The Mount and the Good Food Shop so that I could buy some meat for dinner, I love that shop. Next stop was to Bayfair so that I could get my contact lens solution from Specsavers.
We got back home and we were too full up of scone for lunch so we read the papers for a while.
I made lunch later and then I started to prepare for the talk I have been asked to give to a ladies group on 'life in Spain'. You can get photos on everything now and it is all so easy. I had a real trip down memory lane and worked my way down the coast from the Costa Brava to Barcelona, Tarragona and Salou and on to Valencia. I checked out the websites for the hotels I worked at and they have been re vamped and are now very modern, especially the two in Salou. I spent a lovely afternoon with lots of happy memories. I just wish I was still in touch with a lot of those people I worked with - happy days.
I cooked some nice Asian pork fillet for dinner and we had stir fry veg. Jon had no bad reaction from last night so I think I might try a few more things little by little.
We watched the Grand Prix, well Jon did, I read my book. We then watched NZ Got Talent and they had three very good singers on not sure about the rest though. Watch this space.
WEATHER
Sunny spells with some late showers 18 degrees.
