Back to the books

Still finding it hard to get up in the mornings and would really like to be back into a routine.

After I was up and showered Heather called and we chatted for a while.

I phoned the pharmacy to request the morphine repeat prescription for Jon as he is just about to run out. We also had to call the nurse as he only has enough coats for Bertie till the weekend.

I took Totty out for her walk, well I pulled her around again!!

Jon got a nice get well card from his elderly aunt in the UK which he was really pleased about and it is a lovely card.

I took some photos of the front of the house when I got back mainly to see how the building goes. The owner called round to say the builders would probably start next week and it will take three weeks. I have my doubts as to it only being three weeks and I am not looking forward to it. Had we know the plans meant the new garage would need to be tied into the house and mean walls coming down and disruption to us we would not have agreed. Unfortunately, our lease is up in November but the owner has agreed to us staying till March and I worry that if we say we don't want him to build now he will tell us to move in November and that is not going to be possible with Jon being the way he is at the moment. All we can hope for is that the builder gets on with the job and doesn't have any problems with the project!

I made lunch and then I went out to help sort books at the book room for the book sale which is not far away now. It was nice to be with the ladies again and chatting to them all and the afternoon went over quickly.

I then went to buy a birthday card for my friend Les and to post some cards to UK and quickly ran into the supermarket to get some yogurt before going home.

Jon had just made himself a cup of tea and had fed Totty so that is progress. He did say he had had a funny tummy again after lunch today. yesterday I thought it was the soup bu we only had tuna today so not sure what is going on.

We had dinner and he managed to sit at the table but had to go back to the sofa for pudding but that is a little better.

We watched some TV and then I logged on to FB and spoke to my nephew who told me his partner was in hospital as she had a seizure which is really terrible for them and I hope she will be well soon.

We need to be up and sorted early in the morning as we have an appointment at the hospital at 9.50 and it will take Jon a long time to walk down to the clinic.

WEATHER
Sunny spells and some cloud 19 degrees.
