A wet day

The hour made things difficult to get up this morning and I didn't wake till 8.30!! Jon didn't wake till nearly 10.00 as he didn't have a good night.

While he was having a shower I managed to vacuum and dust as I knew he would want to watch the golf once he was dressed.

We both watched the golf and it was very exciting. Just as it was nearing the end his boss called and wanted to chat and was on the phone for ages. We put the TV on pause and I was able to go upstairs and clean the bedroom and do the bathrooms and hang out the washing all before he finished.

We watched the end of the golf and then the district nurse came but she said she won't be back again till next Monday, unless we need her, to take the stitches out of the stoma.

The owner of the house called to say he would be round later with a builder.

We had lunch and then I went to the hospital to take the cushion back and as the technician was not there I said I would pick it up tomorrow.

I went to get the filter I had ordered for the vacuum cleaner and it cost me $59!!! I could have bought a new cleaner for less!!! I hope it doesn't need a new one of those too often, it is only ten months old now!!

I went to the Aussie Butcher to buy some meat and then came home just as the owner arrived. He came in for a chat and a cup of tea and then spent some time outside with the builder. He is coming back tomorrow with another two builders. He thinks he will get it started next week so I suppose we are in for a messy few weeks.

I cooked spaghetti for dinner tonight and hopefully that won't upset Jon as it did have onion in it.

Poor Totty is still deaf but her ear is not so red now.

We watched some TV and then I sent a few emails. I tried once again to call my elderly neighbour but still no reply so not sure what is going on there. I emailed another neighbour, Sharon, to ask her if she knows anything. If not I will have to pester Heather to go across and find out.

WEATHER
Cloudy with heavy rain late afternoon 19 degrees
