Friday

I didn't have to get up with Tot last night to let her out but she did wake me to put her cover on her!!!!!

I was up early as I had to get ready for work and also Heather wanted to call me at 8.00 so I was all ready by then which must be a first for a Friday.

I went off to work and as they are still doing major road works up on the main road we have to go all around the back of the village to get out and it adds a lot of time. I did manage to get to the shop on time though.

We were busy all morning and I managed to sort out all the children's clothes this week so they look tidy again. Les was telling us about her trip to Adelaide which sounds lovely and hopefully Jon and I will get there before we leave this part of the world.

I left the shop at 1.00 and went into town to my hair appointment. I then went to the supermarket before getting home just before 3.00 and Jon had just got back.

It was lovely to see him but he said he found the journey very tiring and he does look tired. I had some lunch and then took Tot out for a walk and met a man with a lovely golden retriever who is ten months old and surprisingly Totty actually liked her. It could have been due to the fact the dog didn't bounce on top of her and was quite subdued for a puppy.

I made a cup of tea when I got back and Jon had a bit of a snooze in the chair.

We got ready to go out to The Mount Club to see an English hypnotist and we met Mike and his partner, Bob (Roberta). We did intend to have the buffet meal but it was so packed and we saw that it was a roast and didn't fancy that so ordered pizzas instead and sat in the bar as all the other tables were full. The pizzas were really good and had lovely thin bases.

After dinner we went up to the function room where they were holding the event. It was one of the local Lions groups who organised it and they had sold 300 tickets and made $2500 which will go to the Lodge where Jon is staying at the moment. The show was really, really funny and everyone laughed so much and it was a really good evening and people were talking on the way out saying how nice to see so many people laughing together.

We came home and had a coffee and then Jon went to bed as he is looking forward to his own bed and tomorrow he is looking forward to watching TV and sitting by the fire. Unfortunately, his Monday appointment has been brought forward and so he will have to leave here about 9.00, such a shame as it is bank holiday and it will also be four years since he was here for his interview. Who would have thought we would still be here, I certainly didn't!!

WEATHER
Sunny 17 degrees
