Saturday

One thing that is nice now that Jon is away all week in Hamilton, he is so tired we always have a lie in on Saturdays! He was always up early at weekends but now it is nice to lie in till 8.00!! It was a lovely morning and we had lots of kingfishers in the garden.

We had breakfast and took Tot out for a walk and then stopped by the garden centre for a coffee and we bought some 'citrus fertilizer' for our lemon tree as I think it deserves to be fed!

We then went to Fraser Cove as Jon had a hair appointment. I did some shopping while he was having it cut. I bought a card and some chocolates for Val, Jon's boss' wife who is 70 but they will be in Croatia for her birthday so we will have to pop it round tomorrow before they go.

We had lunch when we got back and then Rachel, Jon's HR person at Genera, called round to catch up with things and let Jon know what is going on at work. We had a cup of tea and chatted and then I left them to it while I prepared our lamb shanks for dinner and got them into the oven.

After Rachel left we watched some TV till it was dinner time and Jon made us both a mojito - he is getting much better at making them now and having our own lovely mint on the deck makes a big difference.

Dinner was good and Tot loved the bones but I have to hold them for her or she would crunch them up and they are not good for her. The recipe for two was as usual too big so I have some left for me on Monday.

Jon said he is going to cut the grass tomorrow but I have told him not to do too much - watch this space!
