I was up early this morning as I had an 8.30 appointment with the gynaecologist. I was so cosy in bed I could have happily stayed there.
The postman called at 7.15 when I was in the shower but fortunately he left the parcel, from Kirsty and Heather, on the porch. The box had split open so not sure if anything is missing I will have to ask the girls what they put in and check to see if it is all there.
I had my cup of tea and enjoyed looking at Kirsty's hen do photos, so pleased she is looking well. I look forward to chatting with her and Heather tomorrow to find out how it all went.
I left for my appointment and forgot to allow for the school traffic and was late for my appointment but was taken in straight away. The doctor, Bill, found another patch of 'bad skin' and so did a biopsy without local - ouch!! He will write with the results in a couple of weeks.
I was going to go to my keep fit class but after the little 'procedure' thought it best not to do anything too energetic.
I went into Tauranga to a shop that sells secondhand clothes and any new clothes you want to get rid of. As the three dresses I bought from M&S are no use I went to ask if they would sell them for me. She told me they take 50% and could only sell them for a maximum of $90 but I paid more than that for them. I think it would be better to send them back and pay the postage and I will still be better off.
I went into another shop that does a similar thing but they are not taking summer stock yet. I did find a lovely new merino top there though.
I then went for a coffee and a French pastry (I hadn't had any breakfast) which was very good. I bought a book in a shop called Orphan Aid and it is about the Romanian orphanages and the story of a Kiwi woman who has helped out there. I am sure it is going to be very sad.
I picked up my watch from the jewellers which was in for a new battery. I also had to ask, again, how to change the time on the watch that I got as a leaving present from the surgery. It is a peculiar winder and as I only have to change it every six months I keep forgetting or wear the watch at the wrong time. I will try and remember this time. she kindly gave me a voucher to have a ring cleaned free of charge which I will use for the ring that was my mum's.
I went home and took Tot out for her walk before having some Marmite on toast for lunch.
I went out to the post office and sent the dresses back to M&S before going to my aqua aerobics class. It was so much warmer than last week but only four of us in the class.
I came straight back as it gets dark quite quickly and I don't like coming into a dark house. However, today is the shortest day and so now the days will get lighter yay it must mean spring is just around the corner!! Strange weather on the way back though, sun at the Mount, rain shower on the bypass and then 'FOG' in Welcome Bay but clear by the time I got to our street and all in fifteen minutes.
I lit the fire when I got in and then Jon called and we chatted. He has had sun and showers over in Hamilton. He says he is fine and will see the consultant tomorrow after his treatment just to check that all is going well and apart from the couple of days last week when he was not so well he is fine. Only two and a bit weeks to go now.
I had some dinner and watched TV. I checked my emails tonight and I have had two from 'Hotmail', at least that is what they say. They say I need to confirm my details and ask me to click on a link but I think it is spam. I forwarded it to Heather and she thinks it is, too so I have reported it. Not sure why I keep getting bothered.
Hopefully, if the weather people are correct, I will be in for a sunny birthday so our lunch down by the beach should be nice.
WEATHER
Cloudy with some sunny spells 16 degrees.
