Tuesday

I got up and ready this morning and it was pretty cold downstairs. I don't know where the time went as it was soon time to go to my class and on the way I realised I had forgotten to have breakfast. I think I must be losing it!

The class was good and we all soon warmed up. I stayed for a cup of coffee and we chatted about the Golden Olympics that we are doing tomorrow, seven in our team. Diane told us today that we are all to wear blue wigs that she has bought for us - I didn't know about that when I volunteered.

I got back and took Tot out for her walk. I keep looking at my neighbours garden and the persimmon trees with all the lovely fruit on them and the birds are eating it all. As I haven't spoken to them yet I feel it might be a little cheeky to go over and introduce myself and say 'Oh, and by the way, can I pick all your fruit?' But it is such a shame to see it all go to waste.

I had an email from one of the ladies I used to meet for swimming on a Wednesday and she invited me over to her house tomorrow for lunch but of course I can't go. She is going to meet me next week and we will go out for lunch with some other friends for my birthday.

I typed a letter to my elderly neighbour in the UK when I got back and then my Avon lady, Carol called to ask if she could come round which was nice as she is very chatty and friendly.

It was then time for me to go to my aqua aerobic class down at the Mount. The class was good and the water very warm but so cold when I got out to shower, there were only seven of us at the class.

I got back and had to quickly make some dinner as I was so hungry and I have my Lions meeting to go to.

Jon called and said he was OK but had funny tummy and had to take some of his other pills this afternoon. He had been kept waiting half an hour for his appointment today and as he needs to have a full bladder for the treatment he was bursting and had to go to the loo and then wait again and drink more water. It is quite frustrating when they do that. Most ladies who have had a baby will know all about having a full bladder for a scan!!

He had walked round the lake today and also walked up to the hospital for his treatment so he is getting his exercise which is good. He didn't talk long as he had 'to go'!!

I went to Lions business meeting which was OK and nice to see them all after so long, I haven't been since March. What was not so nice was coming home to a cold dark house. I haven't been able to light the fire today as it would have gone out - Totty is not so good at putting logs on!! So the house is cold and I think the best thing I can do is go to bed and read my book as least I have a radiator I can put on up there. The temperature is due to drop to 0 tonight!!!

WEATHER
Sunny and cold 15 degrees
