I woke this morning and would have happily stayed in bed for a little longer - always happens when you have to be somewhere!!
I went downstairs and as always these days go and check in the pantry to see if the mouse has been to pay a visit. this morning wa no different, he had. To add insult to injury he had managed to eat all the food from the trap without it closing and so he got away. Tonight the big boys are moving in and the traps will be set. I have had enough!
I had breakfast and got ready for work and I actually arrived on time!!
We were very busy all morning putting out new stock and as it was mostly children's I sorted it all as I hung it out. I like it all to be neat and tidy and colour coordinated.
We had our coffee and stopped at times to have a chat and a catch up. Sharon's step father in law died last week and she has been in Hawke's Bay for the funeral. He was a Maori and they have very different ideas to us and she told us all about it, very interesting.
Les forgot to bring the invitation in, again, for Bianca's baby's first birthday on Sunday and Jon and I are invited. At least I know the time now so we will just go over as long as Jon feels up to it. I think he will be fine and he likes Bianca and Jason so hopefully it will be a pleasant afternoon. I left the shop at 1.00 and did my supermarket shop on the way back.
Jon had been home and unpacked so I put all his washing on and then had some soup for lunch before taking Tot out for her walk. It is really mild today and hard to believe we are now at the equivalent of Christmas in UK, so lucky with the weather here.
Jon was home when I got back and we had a chat and a cuppa and then just relaxed before watching the 6.00 o'clock news in front of the fire, very cosy.
Jon went out for our fish and chips later on and we then watched some TV. He is still feeling fine.
We have set four traps in the pantry and I feel bad that the mice will be killed but we really can't go on like this. It will soon be the breeding season and we will have babies and I don't want that. My sister was right, I need to sort it!! Hopefully, tonight will be the start.
WEATHER
