Saturday

We had a lie in this morning and I was up before Jon which must be a first but he obviously needed the rest.

It was a cold but sunny morning and I think we will have to put the little oil radiator in the bedroom as it gets so cold in the early hours of the morning and it would just take the chill off.

I cooked Jon a nice breakfast this morning, bacon, scrambled eggs, tomato and toast and he really enjoyed it.

We took Tot out for a walk and then went over to Papamoa for a coffee and to collect our picture that we bought two weeks ago and had framed. it is a photo of Tauranga harbour lit up at night but looking from the Mount with the harbour statue in the foreground and it is really nice.

We then went to the office as Jon needed to collect some papers and then we went to get the car washed and then home.

I made lunch for Jon but I wasn't hungry. I printed off some photos to put in a couple of little frames that I had bought.

I sorted out some things for Jon to take to the Lodge with him - a bigger mug, a container to store his biscuits, a tea towel and washing up liquid so he can keep his mug clean after his nighttime Ovaltine and a washing up sponge. Nothing much but important.

I spent the afternoon cooking a casserole for dinner and some very nice, but far too big, chocolate and date puddings with a butterscotch sauce. The recipe was for six puddings but the portions are very Kiwi and far too big and would easily have made ten. Very yummy though.

We watched some TV and then it was time for bed. The weekend is going over faster than the week!!

WEATHER
Sunny 17 degrees
