It was nice to have a little lie in this morning though I had been up in the night with Tot who needed to go out. When I got up with her I couldn't resist having a look in the pantry to see if we had a mouse. I wish I hadn't as there was and then when I went back to bed I couldn't get back to sleep as I felt so bad about killing it.
I got up and showered and then we had breakfast. Jon had disposed of the mouse!! We took Tot out for a walk and it was a bit nippy.
We went over to Papamoa for a coffee. This cafe has live music every weekend but this week's group were a bit loud so we didn't stay long. We had a look around the shops and then took the scenic route home to Welcome Bay.
We had some pumpkin soup for lunch and then Jon went into the garden to cut the grass as it looked untidy. At least he feels that he can do it so I let him.
I watched some TV and made a pork chop recipe for dinner and put it in the oven.
Jon lit the fire and we just relaxed for the rest of the afternoon.
Dinner was nice and then we watched Coronation Street. They are now at November 2010 so a long way behind the UK and just building up to the big 50th anniversary episode and so they now have it on three times a week to try and catch up. They take it off if they want without warning and so it has got a long way behind. I wish they would take Eastenders off altogether!!
We have been keeping check on Jane and Heather's journey to Cornwall and we are happy to see that they arrived safely. However, they are going to be so tired as they didn't get there till 1.45 am!!!!! If it takes them so long to get home they are not going to want to go to work on Monday. Cornwall is a long way from Newmarket especially for just a weekend.
We have also been watching my nephew's Facebook page as his house is flooded in Lancashire and the house is going to take some drying out. I feel so sorry for them. summer in the UK!!!!
