We woke to a very grey morning after strong wind and rain overnight but we are told it is not over yet.
Jon went to work and I went to my first keep fit class of the year and it was nice to meet up with the other ladies and see them all again despite the very damp weather.
The class was hard and we all had to work to rid ourselves of the Christmas pounds. It was also very humid and we were all like wet rags by the end of the class and more than ready for our coffee!
After the class I went to the supermarket to buy some food as I hadn't done much shopping as Jon was due to be in hospital and we are trying to eat up what is in the freezer but we needed fruit and bread. There are some lovely stone fruit in season at the moment so a good time, the apricots are huge and very good.
I got home and had a shower and then put some photos onto FB but still have more to do. I put the photos on that Jon took in the Cook Islands not many compared to mine!
I watched some TV this afternoon a UK programme called 'A Mother's Son' with Martin Clunes and it was very good.
Jon came home and got changed and after watching the news went out to his Pilates class.
Jon had a phone call to say his surgery has been re booked for 31 January with a bed booked for four days in case they can't do keyhole. He told the secretary if they don't do it then to cancel it altogether. We have tickets to go to Mission Bay Winery Concert on 14 February down in Hawke's Bay I think we should cancel but Jon says no so we will wait and see.
I had my dinner, very lazy - beans on toast!
Jon came back and I made him a sandwich and then I watched the tennis.
It is still very windy tonight but hopefully it will be gone by the morning and we should have some sunshine back.
WEATHER
Rain, overcast, sunny and windy 24 degrees
