We have some very strong westerly winds at the moment and tonight they are set to reach gale force. That said it isn't cold but the temperatures around the country are very odd. Christchurch had 30 degrees today but will drop to a chilly 15 tonight! We had 26 but will only drop to 18. And in Australia they have temperatures hitting the roof. Our friends in Adelaide said it was set to be the hottest day ever there.
I made sure the house was clean and tidy and swept the car porch and front of the house and got rid of the thousands of spider's webs, such a nuisance they are. Jon said he didn't think they would worry about spiders webs but when she came she told me they did so just as well I got rid of them!
As I couldn't go out till she arrived I spent the morning ironing with a break for coffee sitting in the garden but it was very windy.
I had lunch and the agent arrive just as I had finished. She said she always likes coming to a nice house last and ends on a good note. She did tell me that she had to issue two warnings today and will go back and make sure the houses are cleaned in fourteen days time if not they will be told to leave. So I was right to get rid of all the cobwebs! Seriously though these people had more issued than a few spiders.
Margaret and Vic came round for a cup of tea and a piece of Christmas cake and we sat and chatted. When they left my friend Bronwyn called for a chat and to arrange for coffee but I will give her a call when I am free as it will depend on how things go for Jon.
Jon came home but went out soon after as his Pilates class was earlier tonight so we had dinner together once he came back.
Jon went to see the man about the removal today and he gave us the name of the agent who will take Totty so I have emailed them to ask for a quote and what blood tests she needs so, things are moving!
We watched some TV and I fell asleep - again!
Bedtime now.
WEATHER
Sunny but very windy 26 degrees.
