Probably one of the hottest days we have had so far this summer and still very hot now and it is 10.30.
My headache was horrible all through the night so I took some pills after breakfast and I tried to ignore it.
I had a call from the agent who is shipping Totty this morning just to finalise the paperwork and make sure I have all the dates correct for vaccinations and treatments. She is boked on the 9.20 flight from Tauranga on Monday 24 March and then on the Thai Air flight on the Tuesday and arrives at Heathrow on Wednesday 26 which is the day we leave here!!!! She will then go into kennels and be delivere4d to us on the Sunday. I can't believe it is happening and just want it all over now. I wish I had a magic wand. I hate the idea of her in the crate for all that time and hope the six hour stopover in Bangkok is in an air conditioned building or she will be so hot.
I then went out to pick Margaret up and we went down to the Mount to walk around it and then went for a coffee. I love going down there as it has such a lovely holiday atmosphere about the place and looking out across the bay is always nice.
I got home and did a few chores and had some lunch and did a bit of ironing before going over to see Alison.
I had arranged to walk down to Rotary Park as it is a long time since we went there. It is still very pretty. We didn't choose the right day though as it was so hot and walking back up the hill was heavy going.
We got back to her house and sat in the cool and had a cup of tea and Bronwyn came round from next door for a chat. She is feeling tire as she has had her daughter and three granddaughters living with her since Christmas as they are waiting to move into their new house which won't be ready until 7 February. The girls are four and a half, two and a half and one so a lot of work when you are not used to it.
I came home and Jon was already home as he had not been busy in the office and his Pilates class had changed to 6.00 instead of 7.00 so he went off to that.
My head is finally feeling much better but I think going for two walks in the heat today probably prolonged it but all OK now. I assume it must have been a virus as we both had it. Shame I threw that salmon away as it was probably OK!
I cooked my dinner, lamb steak, and had my first red meat for ages but I have lots in the freezer which I need to use up.
Jon came home and after his shower I cooked him an omelette which will be his last meal until Saturday I should think unless he feels well enough to eat after the surgery.
We watched some TV and now I am going to bed as I need to be up at 6.00 as Jon needs to check in at 7.00 so an early start.
WEATHER
Sunny 27 degrees.
