Thursday

I woke up through the night as it was so windy and I had to close the window. I was then awake for ages as it was so windy I thought we might be in for more damage.

The result of being awake was I didn't wake at my usual 7.00 and only woke when Jon came up for his shower at 7.20. Why does that always happen when you have to go out and need to be ready?

Jon left for work and I had my shower and was just getting dried and had a body full of blobs of body lotion when the phone rang! The phone is in the office, the office blinds were open and I was naked and full of body lotion!! A quick run to grab the phone and hope none of the 'mentally challenged' people who live across the road were looking out of the window!

It was Jane on the phone to ask a few things about the house and she thought it very funny that I had been caught out and Jason thought I had been drinking!! I fear my son in law has a very bad impression of me!

I couldn't speak long as I was due to pick Margaret and Viv up at 9.30 and we went to the cinema to see The Railway Man. We arrived early and bought our tickets and then went into the theatre and put our jackets on the seats before going down to the café below for a coffee.

So glad we reserved the seats as by the time we got back it was filling up. The film was really good but very sad at the end.

We came home and I dropped M & V off before coming home, for lunch.

After lunch I sorted some T shirts and tops out ready to take to the Red Cross tomorrow.

I had an email from an agent in London about Totty and I think we will use them as they come up a lot cheaper than the other one. I think she will fly Thai Air as the date suits us although the flight is longer but at least it is only two flights as opposed to three with Qantas. I think I am getting there I just need to sort her vaccinations and health check now.

I watched some of the tennis and did a few jobs around the house. I decided to take all the door strips off the shower door and clean them, what a messy job. It is amazing to think all we do is wash ourselves in the shower but they get very dirty!!

Jon came home and got changed ready to go to his Pilates class. We watched the news and weather and they say the wind should die down tonight but I think they said that last night!

I cleared some pots of food from the freezer while I was looking for something to eat so that is getting emptier now. I found a chicken curry that I had made and defrosted that for my dinner. I don't enjoy making a meal for myself and only eat for the sake of it.

I have made a list of items we need to sell which I will email out to all my friends and contacts here just to see if we can get rid of things before we have to put them on Trademe which will cost and as some of the items are small it would not be worth it.

Off to bed now to read my book and hopefully sleep without the wind waking me.
