The blog is a bit behind as I lost my profile again and couldn't log on. It happened in December, in fact it has happened to me three times, Jon thought he had fixed it but obviously hadn't. With the help of my nephew and Google we found the problem and hopefully it is now fixed.
Saturday
Jane called us this morning and we had a long chat to her and she told us all her news. She was going out looking at pushchairs with Jason and Heather today.
We decided to go and take the recycling this morning on our way to have coffee so went up to Greerton for our coffee and muffin.
We then went to the supermarket and I tried to buy some fish but once again nothing much in. It just shows how fresh the fish is here when they run out due to the fishermen not going out to catch any. I know there will be fresh fish on Monday morning as the boats are due in on Sunday evening. I ended up buying some salmon which is farmed so freely available. I also bought some big Moolooluba prawns which we can have on the bbq.
We booked tickets online to go and watch the cricket at the local oval grounds. It was a T/20 game between our local Northland team and a team from Wellington. It starts at 4.00 and is over by 7.00. You take your chairs and chilly bin, sun hats and sunscreen and plonk yourself down and enjoy the game.
The weather could have been warmer as when the cloud came over late in the evening it was a little chilly but it was an enjoyable afternoon.
I quickly made our dinner when we got back and then we watched some TV.

Friday
It was nice to get back to some normality today and go off to the Red Cross. It was only Les and I as Sharon and Jessica are on holiday. Noeleen, manager, kept us very busy putting clothes out and to begin with we were very quiet but later in the morning it was really busy and we took over $600.
I went to get our coffee and as it was so hot we decided on iced coffee but as we are not allowed to have our drinks downstairs now we had to take turns of going upstairs to drink it. Ten minutes to drink an iced coffee is not enough and I got such brain freeze that I had to put it in the fridge for later.
I left just after one and stopped at the supermarket to buy some fish for dinner. WE always have fish and chips on Fridays but after NY the fishermen don't go out and there is very little fish available so I ended up buying some gourmet fishcakes.
I got home and it was so warm and the house was like an oven - poor Totty
I had my lunch and then Jon came home about 3.00 - still not busy in the office.
I did a bit of ironing but it is really too hot for ironing I hate it when it is so humid.
We had dinner and the fishcakes were fine.

Very hot and humid today 26 degrees and only dropping to 18 tonight
Thursday
We had a lie in this morning and once up I cooked breakfast and we ate out on the deck. As it was so late we didn't go out for a coffee!!
We stayed in all day and just pottered about and had a nice relaxing day.
We had leftovers for dinner so I didn't even have to cook!
