Tuesday

I got up and had my shower and was just about to have breakfast and my friend rang and we had a chat which went on longer than I thought and when I looked at my watch I panicked as it was 9.45 and I was due at the osteopath for 10.00 so a quick goodbye, clean my teeth and off I went.

I arrived just on 10.00 and did not speed! I had a half hour session including a very nice back massage - I could have one of these every week if I won the lottery! I don't need to see him again but if I have any problems he said to call him. He also told me to take a tennis ball in the car when we drive to Spain and to put it on my back between the seat and move around and this will give a gentle massage. I should remember to do this.

I stopped off at Tesco on my way home to buy some fish for dinner and then remembered I had chicken that I cooked last night! Fish tomorrow.

When I got home I did a quick tidy round as I had some friends coming to talk about their planned trip to NZ.

I made lunch for Jon and had a quick bite for myself and then Jackie and Angela arrived. I really enjoyed the rest of the afternoon talking about possible places that they should see. It is hard trying to fit our five years into their four weeks. I am sure whatever they decide they will have a really good trip as it is pretty near impossible not to enjoy NZ. They also brought me some lovely flowers and biscuits.

All in all it was a pretty easy day for me but Jon had a busy day in the garden this afternoon doing some heavy pruning and then munching it all up in his new toy. He also, finally, picked up his hearing aids this morning and they seem to be working as he is speaking much quieter to me. He just needs to get used to them now.

Jane rang me to say they had just been to the hospital to have the ECHO for Riley. He still has the hole but they say it shouldn't cause any problems and want to see him again when he is six months old. Jane said he got a bit fidgety while they were doing the ECHO and the doctor put something on his dummy and he immediately calmed down. When she came out she said she should have asked what it was and could she buy some! He now weighs 10lbs 3oz which is very good.

I popped over to see Rene and took her some cake and she seemed much brighter today. I stayed for a little chat and told her I would take her to the cemetery this week if she wanted to as it would have been Fran's birthday on Thursday. She said she will see!

I came back and cooked dinner. Heather came home then went out for a bike ride and then she had dinner with us.

After a bit of TV it was bedtime and another day over.

WEATHER
Sunny with some cloud 26 degrees
