Well I did manage to get up early this morning and finally colour my hair so feel better about that.

Jon was cooking bacon for his breakfast and he cooled some for me so a nice weekend treat.

I did a bit of cleaning up the mess from the decorators but there is sooooo much dust.

We went out for a coffee, I enjoy Tesco so much in this hot weather as it is so cool in there. We did a bit of shopping and then went home.

The sky was a beautiful blue and not a cloud in it. We are having such a lovely summer (ours has been going on since December) we will be shocked when it starts to rain!

I got back and did a bit more cleaning as the dust was so thick in the bathroom upstairs and I couldn't leave it as Jane goes up there to change Riley.

Jane, Jason and Riley arrived as I was preparing the ingredients for the paella. He was looking very hot but fast asleep so he must have been fine.

I had to get Jon to move the gas ring to the shade as there is no way I could cook in 30 degrees it was hot enough in the shade.

The paella turned out well and I had not forgotten how to cook it thanks to my good teachers in Spain all those years ago.

We had a lovely lunch but it was so hot and we were very grateful for out huge sunshade which covers the whole table. Riley was a little treasure and Jane was able to eat her lunch before he woke for his feed. He really is a very good baby.

Once lunch was finished we cleared things away and went and sat down at the bottom of the garden where it was a cool 27 degrees but so nice under the trees. Heather left to go to an office summer party with her friend and Kirsty left not long after as she had stayed at a friend's house last night and not slept well so was tired.

We sat on for a while and Jane brought Riley down and after a lovely cuddle he fell asleep and I put him in his pram where he stayed for the next couple of hours.

Jane and Jason left in time to feed the baby who was very hungry but hopefully would fall asleep in the car on the way home.

Jon and I cleared away the rest of the dishes and then sat outside in yet another lovely evening.

After a day off it is back to it tomorrow and more painting!

I am very tired now so off for an early night.
