Saturday, Sunday and Monday

Another very busy few days!

Saturday Jon and I spent most of the day sorting out the clothes boxes that I had unpacked. It is official, I have too many clothes and Jon has too many shirts!

We really don't have enough space to put them all so I am going to have a sort through, I did throw out a lot before we left NZ, and get rid of some.

We went out for a coffee and bought a few things in Tesco but Heather is out tonight and I am sure I have something in the freezer that we can eat.

We were fighting a losing battle trying to hang clothes and so in the end we went into Newmarket and bought another clothes rail, a shoe rack and a cloth wardrobe to put in the garage and Jon can hang his winter things in there.

We managed to get upstairs sorted out so that we could get into bed and the rest we left, enough for one day.

Kirsty asked if she can come over for dinner tomorrow as James is away so it will be nice to catch up with her.

Sunday

We went out to the Pantry for breakfast this morning with Heather and then to M&S  as Heather was cooking burgers for Jane and Jason and needed some buns.

It turned into quite a big shop as we then rang J&J to ask if they wanted to come over for a bbq and they said they did so we ended up buying a load of stuff for a bbq.

Back home and Jon and I started more sorting but before I did I took lots of things up to the loft to make more space. I love our loft ladder and don't know how I would have managed without it. It is so hot in the loft though and I was sweating by the time I had finished. It really needs a good sort out up there, one day the lot will fall through the ceiling!

I had a chat with Sharon over the fence and she gave me another half a dozen eggs from her chucks.

My cousin's daughter, Louise, came in the afternoon with her husband and two children, Callum two and a half and Evie, just one. Lovely children but full of lifewhich sent Jon into shock! Callum played tug of war with Totty and a fluffy bear and she was totally worn out by the end of it. Louise brought a Jungle Gym for Riley which is very nice and in lovely condition.

They left and then we started to get the bbq ready. Jane had had visitors and Riley was having a feed so they were late getting her and they told us to start without them which we did but they weren't too much longer.

Riley woke and was getting grumpy so she made a bottle for him and I gave it to him. A new experience for me as I haven't bottle fed a baby for years and years. He took it but did throw a lot back.

We watched the football and Riley was very unsettled so I kindly offered to take him and let Jason watch the TV - purely selfish on my part! He did settle in my arms and fell asleep.

Kirsty left to watch the end of the football at home.

Jane and Jason got ready to leave and put Riley into his chair and he woke up and was very loud till he got into the car.

I tidied up and then went to bed very tired.

Monday.

I really need to get an early night as I just can't wake up in the mornings these days.

Heather didn't go to work as she has sinusitis so stayed in bed pretty much all day and did look very washed out this evening.

I went to an aqua class at the sports centre, the first one in about four weeks. It was a really good class and the teacher is very good. It makes me feel so good after I have done a class. I really must keep them up now the builders have finished.

Jon spent the morning in the office doing paperwork and is going to London tomorrow to meet up with an Australian man who is over. I think he is the CEO of the company Jon did the work for in France. I will have a day to myself tomorrow and maybe catch up with some of the 40+ Neighbours I have to watch.

I did some washing and sorted some clothes out and it is looking marginally better upstairs.

The lady that wanted to buy our boxes said she could collect them today from Jane's house so Jon and I loaded them all into our car, and it was full with the seats down, and drove to Soham. She was there waiting and she told me she had a Ford Focus and I realy didn't think we would get all the boxes and the paper in. She brought her car to the drive and we, Jon, Jason and I transferred them all to her car. She said it is the last time she will do an errand for her husband as he had not told her there were so many.

We stayed a little while with Jane who said Riley had been unsettled since 11.00. she was feeding him while we were there and he did finally settle and sleep.

He has lots of appointments coming up, hearing tomorrow, his tongue tie is going to be done on Friday, poor little man. They need to make sure he is hungry as he will need to feed as soon as it is done to see how he manages. I am glad I am not going to see it. He also has an appointment for an echocardiogram on 29 July. The hospital had said three months so not sure why it is through so soon. He also has his appointment for his vaccinations the week before we go on holiday. He needs his own diary!

We got back and had a cuppa and Jon finished sorting the shed out and the greenhouse and then cut the grass which is looking much better now.

We had dinner and then took Totty out for a walk.

I might just make it to bed for 11.00 tonight!

WEATHER
Mostly fine over the weekend and very warm. Thunderstorm on Saturday evening. Up in the mid 20s
