I had an lazy day today with no work.
We manage to get a decorator to come and look at the hall stairs and landing and he said if we are ready to go he can come in next week if not it will be the end of August - we are ready to go!
I had a bit of a twinge in my back yesterday not sure what I did and this morning it was still hurting but I decided to go and do my aqua class in the hope that it would loosen it up.
The class was really good and we did some really good floating exercises with dumbbells!
After the class I picked up some coffees for Jon and I and came home. We sat out on the patio in the lovely sunshine to drink them.
I had a shower and got ready to go and meet Sonia for lunch. My back was beginning to hurt a lot and pretty difficult when reversing the car.
We had a nice lunch and a chat but by the end of the hour I was pretty uncomfortable and was glad to get up.
I did a bit of shopping and went to the post office and met four of the ladies I used to work with at the surgery! It took a long time to get back to the car.
I had a boot full of clothes to take to the charity shop so drove round to them. I also had lots of old towels, tea towels and bed sheets to get rid of and they said they would take them all as, if they were no good, they have a rag bag for which they get money so I left the lot there.
I got home and popped over to see how Rene's foot was and the lady who she allows to do a few jobs for her was just arriving. I said I didn't like the look of her foot and she agreed it should be seen so she called the surgery and took her down to see the nurse. I didn't stay long as my back was by now really painful.
I didn't intend to do much an was about to sit down and ring Jane to see how her first day on her own was going when she turned up at the door. She said Riley had been grizzling so she took him in the car to buy nappies and he had fallen asleep. We say chatting and she said she had been doing OK but hadn't managed to eat her lunch. She needs some practice to use just one hand!
He looked all scrunched up in his car seat so she took him out and gave him to me and he just slept in my arms, it was lovely. He does pull some very funny faces.
She left to go home as Jason would be wondering where she was and would want to see his baby after being away from him all day.
I put our dinner in the oven and Sharon, my neighbour came round to say two of her chickens were in our garden and could she get them. Just as well Totty didn't spot them first!
Heather came home and we had dinner and then watched some TV. No walk tonight as I don't think I could.
I hope it is better tomorrow as it is Fran's funeral. I dread to think what Rene will be like.
