Jon watched the qualifiers for the Singapore Grand Prix this morning so we were late getting out to walk Tot and with the clocks going forward the morning was flying by. It was 10.40 by the time we got out and as we were walking past the little church, just down the road from our house, we saw a lady come speeding into the car park and we realised she must have forgotten to change her clock. The service starts at 9.45 so she was an hour late - oops! The tide was in down at the park and a couple of men were down there with their jet skis and their wives were on the beach with two dogs who were playing in the water and one was trying to chase one of the jet skis and by the looks of what he was doing he was used to it and having great fun but managing to keep out of the way and once the man went out deeper the dog came back. The younger dog was just around the edge but both were barking and so Totty decided she wanted to join in! Fortunately, I had seen the dogs and had put her on the lead but she went mad pulling to get in the water and wanted to swim with them but I was too nervous to let her in case she got into trouble with the jet ski. We had to drag her all the way up the hill but she really didn't want to leave. I wish she had been used to water as then I would just let her go.
We went into Tauranga and had a coffee and it was lovely sitting out when the sun was out but a bit cold when it went in. We went to the library to get some books for Jon and then back home to read the papers.
After lunch Jon did some pottering about outside and I started to move some things around in cupboards to make more space. I put a lot of the sheets and blankets, which belong to the house, away in a big chest that the owner left - it has only taken 20 months to do it!
I cooked a very nice beef stir fry for dinner followed by the banoffee cheesecake I made yesterday.
WEATHER
