We had a good talk on phone to Heather first thing and then took Tot for a quick walk. It had to be quick as I said I would treat Jon to breakfast for Father's Day and after chatting to Heather and an online chat to Jane it was getting late.
We went down to the Swiss Chalet for breakfast and Jon ordered the 'full yodel' and when the chef is told he starts to yodel and when the owner serves it she also yodels, all good fun and a very popular place.
After eating so much we thought we had better go for a walk so walked around the Mount, I have lost count of how many times we have done this now. It was a lovely day and the sun was so warm.
When we got back we were very bad and bought an ice ream and sat by the beach, it was like a summer's day.
We got home and were so full we decided to have no lunch!
Jon went out to tidy the garden and I was pouring over my maps and tourist information booklets and deciding where we should go next!
We took Totty for her afternoon walk and as it was a short walk this morning we went down to Rotary Park and it was so quiet and peaceful down there. Closing time has now gone to 5.30. You can walk down anytime but the gates close for cars. In the summer it stays open till 8.00.
We had a cuppa and I did a bit of ironing and Jon was on the computer booking our hotel for our weekend in Auckland on 20 October when we go to see Andre Reiu. He books our hotels on wotif.com and they do late bookings which are usually good hotels and cheap. They do a mystery deal and you don't know where you are going till you book it so we thought we would give it a try. When he had booked it came up with 'The Langham' I nearly dropped the iron with excitment! It is a really good hotel, they have them around the world and it is in the centre of Auckland and is really lovely. We got it for a really good price and I am so happy to be going there. I then had to come back down to earth and prepared the dinner, duck!
Jane phoned and we both had a long chat with her, so long Jon went to bed and I was still chatting. I started to watch Flight 93 about one of the planes in 9/11 scary but very good so I didn't go to bed till 12.30.
WEATHER
