I went back to my swimming class today and it was really good. We went into the big hot pool after the class and it was too hot for me and I had to sit on the side. Les sat in it and then felt really dizzy when we got out.
We went to 88 for coffee and had a huge piece of blueberry and lemon cake with a little dish of yogurt and berries. We shared it and it was so good. Les only has one more week here before she has to go back to S Africa to get her visa. I hope she is able to get it sorted out quickly.
I then went into a little gift shop to do some shopping for presents for various birthdays that are coming up and I spent a lot of money.
Shirley had left more flyers for me at the Red Cross so popped into collect them.
I then went to the supermarket as we needed bread and bought a lot more than I intended so won't need to shop for much on Thursday.
I then went to the PO to buy some of the special plastic envelopes I need for sending parcels and waited for ages as the staff were helping people with packages. Nothing too much trouble here and they come round to the shop area and suggest packaging and tell them what is going to be the cheapest, really good unless you are waiting to be served.
By the time I got home it was very late for lunch, just as well I had that cake.
I was just taking Totty out and Jon arrived home early, he had been to Matamata and it wasn't worth going back to the office so he was going to try the gym and see if he could get parked. He brought some eggs back that he had been given by a customer, they look very good and healthy.
I went on a long walk with Tot as it was such a lovely afternoon.
We had dinner and watched TV. Very sad for the people of Christchurch. They are having lots of aftershocks and not getting much sleep. they had four the other night some as strong as 5.3. I think an earthquake in a first world country is every bit as bad as a third world country. They have different problems. Third world countries have no infrastructure and so they just clear the areas. In Christchurch they have so many problems with electricity, water and sewers. They have lost so many of their old buildings, such a shame.
WEATHER
Cloudy first thing then warm and sunny 17 degrees
