Another new baby

I had an email from Jane to say Kathryn had a baby girl yesterday at 3.0pm. This was soon followed by an email and photo from Mary. Seems like she had a pretty traumatic time. The baby was breech and she was being monitored when she started with strong contractions so was rushed to the delivery suite for a Cesarean but when she got there she wanted to push and they could see the baby's bottom and so out she came. She is called Eve and weighed 5lbs 7oz. She is in special care but not an incubator. Hopefully, she will be able to go home soon. She looks soooo tiny. Poor Kathryn, she never does things the easy way.

After all that excitement I managed to get two loads of washing out on the line and took Totty out for a walk and was out and delivering book sale flyers by 10.00. I delivered to all the area I wanted and it only took me an hour. I enjoy looking at all the houses. It is so different to UK. No two houses are the same. Lots have living space upstairs to make the most of the lovely views in this area.

I then went to buy a baby card and stamp before going home and getting stuck into my housework. I had to get the washing in as it had started to rain but as it had been so windy it was nearly dry.

Jon came home for lunch and we had chicken sandwiches.

I had a phone call from Shirley about the book sorting tomorrow afternoon but I won't get there till after Jon goes back. I also had a phone call from Anna about the Arthritis Care collection I am helping with on Friday afternoon. With brunch meeting on Thursday I am in for a busy week.

I finished the housework and then started the ironing and got it all done by the time Jon came home from the gym and I had the dinner cooking. I couldn't get Tot out as it was raining again!

The weather is really wild again tonight, there is no end to this awful weather.

WEATHER
Bright and sunny first thing followed by showers then rain and strong wind at night 17 degrees.
