A new haircut

Got Tot out for a short and windy walk before going across to the Mount for my class.

I noticed the wind across Pilot Bay on my way and the boats were bobbing about like I have never seen before!! The class was windy and cold and on one exercise where we had to put our arms out of the water we all shouted out to the teacher as it was so cold so the rest of the class was arms under the water. Our cooling down at the end of the class was done in the hotter pool as it was really getting chilly in the big one with the wind whipping across the surface and blowing water into our faces. The coldest class I have ever had even all the winter classes were not like this.

I went for coffee with carol and we had a chat about her time in the UK and her preparations for her son's wedding in Bali before I had to leave to get to my hair appointment.

I found the house with no problems and chatted to Josie about how I wanted my hair. She does a cut and blow dry for $60 and then I have an appointment for a complimentary blow dry on Monday to see how I have got on with it so sounds good to me. However, she did tell me that she is moving to Australia in January so I will only get another few cuts in with her. She did it well and I like it just need to see if I can do the same when I wash it.

I had two bags of old books from the book sale to get rid of so stopped off at the 'transfer station' - the tip to us Brits! and got rid of them. Some people give so much junk and we have to sort it and get rid of it bit by bit so we are not left with it all after the sale.

Managed to get home in time to do lunch for Jon.

I did a bit of ironing and caught up with my recorded TV programmes before taking Totty out. I, and many others, are getting really fed up with all this wind but at least we haven't lost our power like so many have.

I cooked a recipe I found in a magazine from a TV chef which was braised lamb chops and it was really awful but the apple pie and ice cream for pudding made up for it.

We had really bad weather again this evening and high winds, no wonder so many trees are coming down.
