Waitomo Caves and a wet day.

We woke to a very grey day as was forecast but we managed to get tot out for a short walk before we left.

We didn't manage to get away as early as we planned but not too late. We drove straight to Waitomo and had a coffee before going on the glowworms tour and boat ride which as always is very good.

We then had a short wait for the next tour and so spent a little while in the shop.

The second tour was of the big cave which we had to drive to and our guide was really good - we have had three different ones now. It is amazing how I see different things on every tour but I really think this will be our last three times is enough for anyone.

We went for lunch after the tour and it was nearly 4.00 so very late.

We then had a long but at least not so rainy drive home and arrived at about 5.30.

Dinner tonight was a bbq which Jon had to cook in the shade of the deck roof as it was raining a little. The bbq was very good especially the steak.

Watched a bit of rugby and I decided to take Tot out for a late walk as the rain had stopped and it felt very fresh and clean to be out.

Only one more day with Jane and Jason. They are so tired I have told them to have a lie in tomorrow and we just need to do a bit of shopping and the dreaded packing/

WEATHER
Wet for most of the day 15 degrees
