I had told Jane and Jason to have a lie in this morning and so I was able to get on with some of the jobs I needed to do, like washing and ironing!!! Unfortunately, the weather decided to put a stop to drying the washing and I eventually had to bring it in but I quickly ran out of space to hang it. Normally it wouldn't matter but as it was all of Jane and Jason's clothes to take home I needed to get it dry.
J & J finally got up and as a treat I cooked them a nice breakfast which they enjoyed and they then had to get stuck into doing their packing minus the wet clothes.
I stood for most of the morning and did my long overdue ironing. I did manage to get some washing dry due to the very strong wind and the fact that I had two loads out on the line by 8.00!!!
Jon and Heather came home for lunch and then I hung more clothes out as it looked fine and then we went into Tauranga to do the last minute souvenir shopping. It was proving very difficult to find a present for Jason's parents but we did finally find something he thought they would like - phew!
We went across to the Mount to find some earrings Jane liked for the girl who is looking after the house and the cat. And finally we were able to go and have a much earned cup of tea and a cake.
I dropped them off at the office and they then went out with Heather for a drink with Lisa. I went to the supermarket for more shopping!!!
I arrived home at the same time as Jon and brought my dry washing in so the forecast rain never happened this afternoon!!!
I cooked lamb chops for dinner and we had meringue for pudding with kiwi fruit and ice cream.
J & J finished their packing and I scanned all the photos from the parks we have been to so that they can take the originals home.
And now it is bedtime and although I have loved having them here I think it will be nice to have a rest and get back to normal.
WEATHER
