We didn't have such an early start today which was nice so I managed to get some bits done around the house and sort out what I am going to cook over the next few days.
We set off out and went to Te Puna Quarry park to have a quick look around and see the tile that Jon and I made in November last year.
We then went on to Katikati and stopped for a coffee and muffin. We then had a look at some of the wall paintings before going for a walk along the river and it was lovely to see the daffodils flowering there.
We then went to have lunch by the bird gardens near the beach but I was very disappointed to see that they were closed!!! We had to change plans and go to Omokoroa and eat our picnic there. We saw a mum and her two children of maybe two and four and the children were playing in the water and one had no clothes on but they looked so happy playing in the water but they must have been freezing!!!
We then went to change some shoes for Heather and then into the supermarket to do the shopping. I am having a real problem trying to think of something to do for Sunday. We will be out all day and I need something easy so I think it is going to be a bbq even though the forecast is for rain. Jon will have to bring the bbq right up to the door if it is raining as I am feeling a little brain dead.
After a half hour in the house, long enough to bring the washing in, I then took J & J to the office to meet Heather and go to netball with her. I went home and walked the dog and then made a huge lasagne for dinner which was very good.
I stood and did some ironing and now I am more than ready for my bed. The Red Cross will be a doddle tomorrow. lol
