I had so much to do today and didn't know how to get it all done!!
I was up and ready early so decided to go tot the supermarket and buy the prawns for our tapas night that I hadn't been able to buy yesterday. I also got some meat for dinner on Sunday.
I think I must be mad trying to do all these tapas for five of us.
When I got back our neighbour had blocked the driveway with a trailer as he was unloading a sit on mower they have bought for their new plot. It made things a little difficult as everyone was waiting to go out for Breakfast. Jon had taken Tot out already and Jane and Heather had hung out the washing so we just needed to go.
Fortunately, Brent offloaded the mower and moved the car and trailer so off we went to the Swiss Chalet where Jason had the full yodel and we all enjoyed what we had.
We then headed out to Hamilton to go to the zoo. We had to take a detour as Jon did not fill up before we left and thought we would make it to Cambridge but we didn't.
We arrived at the zoo and although it is small the enclosures are much nicer than Auckland but not much variety. We stopped for a sandwich for lunch and then carried on and finally left to go home about 3.30.
We had to stop and buy more prawns as the ones I bought this morning Jon had put in the freezer and as I was out talking to our neighbour he put the shopping away and I didn't realise so we had to buy more defrosted ones!!!
We got back and I was straight into cooking and in a couple of hours I made, Spanish meatballs in tomato sauce, patatas bravas, a small paella, Spanish omelette and garlic prawns. I felt a bit like Jamie Oliver with his 30 minute meals. It was all very good and enjoyed by everyone. I had bought a birthday cake for Jane to celebrate an early birthday.
We then sat and watched a nail biting rugby match with England v Argentina thankfully England won - phew.
WEATHER
Sunny 20 degrees
