No keep fit today

I was up and ready early today but not for my usual keep fit, my leg is too sore for that. I decided to go along to the meeting at the Red Cross. The manager updates everyone on what is going on but it seemed a waste of time to me as most of them chatted between themselves and didn't really take much notice of her.

After the meeting Les, Sharon and I all went for a coffee and a chat. I gave Les her bottle of Amarula that Jon brought back for her and I also took them some Kiwi fruit.

On my way back I dropped in to the health food shop to get some Arnica to see if it will ease my leg. The bruise is getting bigger but it is still very painful.

I put lunch in the oven for Heather and hung out the washing before walking the dog around the block and as it was late we had no noise from binmen! I brought the bin up the drive for Kim and collected their post.

We had lunch and then Heather went back to work and I sat in the lovely sunshine and read my magazine for a little while before getting stuck into my pile of ironing and bringing all my washing in from the line. Hopefully, I will have caught up with it all in time for Jon to come home with another pile.

A parcel arrived today for Heather and it was a lovely photo album she has had made for my 60 birthday from our holiday in Thailand. She did intend to do it before she left UK but has only just got round to it. It is very nice and I am very pleased with it.

I made some flapjacks but as I only had muscovado sugar they are a bit brown but taste OK but more crunchy than chewy. I also made a pot of pumpkin soup for our dinner tonight.

Heather had a netball match after work so was late in but very hungry when she did arrive. The soup was very nice but would have been sooooo much nicer with some bread!!! It is all very well not having bread or potatoes in the evenings but I really don't think eating half a dozen Roses from the box Katharine bought every night is very good for us either!!!

WEATHER
Bright and sunny 16 degrees
