Much brighter today than was forecast but we all enjoyed a sleep in and I didn't get up till 8,30.
We all took Tot out for her walk and then we went up to the Kaimai cafe for a coffee on the way to McLaren Falls. Unfortunately, we spent too long over our coffee and as Heather had to be down at the Mount to have her fringe cut we had to rush up to the falls. We were very surprised when we got there as there was so little water, I have never seen it so empty which was a little disappointing.
We carried on up to the park and fed the ducks which both Katharine and Heather were frightened of as they came out of the water and right up to us. On Sundays when lots of families are there you can hardly get them to look at the bread!
We then headed off back to the Mount and arrived in time for Heather's appointment.
We then took Katharine to Pilots Bay and then for a walk around the base of the Mount which is now completely open and all the slips have been removed but you can see that some of them were really big and it is no wonder it has taken since February to clear them.
We then came home for lunch and as Heather had rented Tangled and it was due back we sat and watched it which was nice and relaxing. I then took it back as she had to get ready to go and play her netball game.
Jon called this evening and we had a chat and he is looking forward to coming home to sleep in his own bed and hopes the wind problems they have been having for flight in Sydney don't cause any delays tomorrow.
I cooked a leek and bacon risotto for dinner but they didn't get back till 8.30 and I was very hungry!!
Katharine was tired so went to bed at 9.30 and Heather and I watched TV and I did my ironing.
WEATHER
Cloudy with bright sunny spells 16 degrees
