We were up - bright clock, packed and set off.
Heather was a little quiet and a bit sad at Katharine going back. We are not sure if Katharine will get her connection flight it depends how many are on her flight as to whether they will hold the next flight for them. Hopefully we will get a text from her later today.
We stopped and had breakfast at the Pukekos Nest a little cafe on the main road which is run by a Vietnamese family and it was very good. We usually only have coffee there so this was a first and a good one to remember.
After an uncomfortable and painful drive we got home by 2.00.
I can't do any washing as no machine till Monday so am I going to have a huge pile.
We went to the supermarket and bought some things for dinner before going to get Tot. Bringing her back in the car was a nightmare as she would not sit still on my knee and my leg is so painful to touch.
They were holding a 'Christmas market' at the Historic Village this evening so people could enjoy a 'cold' Christmas!!! We went along and it was really busy and we had to queue to get in. Once in there really wasn't much to see or do. We wandered around for ten minutes and then left. It was a shame there was not much there as so many people turned out for it. Hopefully, next year will be better. I think as a first time thing it probably took off more than the organisers thought it would.
I made a stir fry when we got back and we all had an early night.
WEATHER
Warm and sunny 16 degrees
