Thursday

It was very wet overnight and I was woken by the heavy rain on the tin roof more than once!!

I walked Tot when the rain had cleared up and then came back and hung out the washing as it was so warm and bright after all the rain.

I caught up with Corrie at some stage through the morning as there is a new one tonight, we are so far behind.

I had a nice salad for lunch and then got on with a bit more cleaning, I am sure the landlady will not even come upstairs but it makes me feel better just in case she does.

Margaret called and we had a nice chat, she is getting ready to go to Brisbane with her friend from Napier, I hope I am as well and willing to do things like she does at the age of 73.

I did a few sewing jobs that I had been leaving one was Tot's duck that she had torn a hole in. I gave it back to her and it was like giving her a new toy, she was so pleased with it.

I went out to collect my top from Kooky's and am really pleased with it and the service!

I then went to the supermarket and bought some prawns and salmon to make a Thai stir fry for tonight.

I went to the vacum cleaner shop to see if he could tell me why the brush won't go back and forwards. Basically a bit has snapped and I needed to buy a new one $50 Ah well I need to clean.

Jon was home when I got back, much earlier than I thought so we had a cup of tea and then took Totty out for a walk.

The house at the front of us, well two houses actually, has a sign in front of it saying 'chainsaw sharpening' it also had a bright yellow chainsaw welded on the top. they have only lived there for a couple of months but have obviously upset the neighbours, not us, as the council came and told him to remove the chainsaw and make the sign smaller so he was busy doing that this evening.

The prawn salmon stir fry was very good.

A bit of TV then bed.
