Got up early, for me, and was out early with Totty for her walk which was quite chilly.
Came back and got stuck into my housework and washing, a really good wind for getting it dry.
Jon came home for lunch and we finished off the bean salad and tuna pate. As he was leaving to go back to work Kim, my next door neighbour called round to ask me for the number of the man who sells the kindling wood as she had lost it. She was telling me she had been ill since Thursday and now Flynn has it and Petra had it last week. There is a bug going round the schools, she is a teacher, and some schools have had up to 150 children off at a time it has been so bad. She stayed to chat for a while - I hope she didn't leave the bug behind!!
Finished off my housework and then took Totty for an early walk and delivered some book sale flyers at the same time. I won't do it again with the dog as we got a bit tangled up with the lead and she kept thinking I was going into the houses and not just putting things in the postbox. I managed to deliver about 150, only another 450 to go!!!
Came back and had a cup of tea and watched Neighbours and then did the ironing. It is nice to get it all done when it is fresh off the line.
Jon came home after the gym and we had the sausages from the English butcher and they were very good, best I have had for 18 months or so.
Watched TV and then Heathery called for a chat. She was a little hungover as they had all been out last night to celebrate Sam's birthday (James' sister) so she didn't talk for long. she told me that Jane has started the training for her new job and is down in Kent this week.
Logged on to do my blog and I had an email from my friend Mandy in Italy to say her husband had died last Monday after a late diagnosis of bowel cancer. Very sad for her and the children.
WEATHER
Bright and sunny but cold to start. A good wind to get the washing dry.
