Too wet for a walk this morning, it was pouring with rain. Jon had a hair appointment so while he was away I made some broccoli soup for lunch.
He was about an hour having his hair cut, his takes longer than mine as the woman talks so much. By the time we got out for coffee it was nearly lunch time.
After coffee at Chapel Street cafe we went over to Briscos and bought a new toaster. It is a bigger one and will take four slices and is thick and thin. We had to buy a tray to sit it in as the landlady has one on the old one and we will leave this one for her as it won't be worth taking back to UK. We stopped off at the supermarket for a few things on the way home.
The soup for lunch was really good and we had it with slices of French bread toasted with some blue cheese melted on top - yummy!
Jon went to the gym and I did some ironing, I feel I need to keep myself busy and although the final of Dancing on Ice is recorded I am not in the right frame of mind to watch it yet.
Jon came back and showered and then we had a cuppa and the rain was still pouring down and so not much use taking Totty out as she won't go!
I cooked dinner chicken, peas and apple with wine and it was very good - even though the gas ran out just at the end of cooking and I had to finish it off in the microwave - followed by the cheesecake which is yummy but so big I will have to freeze some or we will be eating it till this time next week!
We watched Poirot and it was still raining!
WEATHER
Wet all day, very heavy rain non stop but still 16 degrees
