No swimming again

Jon left very early this morning to go to Auckland and I only woke to hear the garage door closing.

I got up and showered and then took Totty out for a walk and met Browyn and Uppy who wanted to play but as he is naughty and runs away he was kept on a lead.

I phoned the shop where I bought my merino top to go with my jacket and told them it was too big but as it was over a month ago I didn't think they would do anything about it but she told me to come in to see her.

I went out and met Les for coffee at 88 down in the Mount. Swimming was cancelled so she had walked up the Mount. We had our coffee and usual long chat and Bronwyn came in just as we were about to leave, she was meeting a friend there.

I then went shopping to Tauranga and went into Kooky and explained about my top being too big even though it was a small. She was very nice and rang around other branches till she found an XS for me in Rotorua and they will have it sent up by courier for tomorrow. I was very relieved as it was expensive and I didn't really want to take the chance on having it altered in case they made a mess of it as it is wool.

I also went into another shop I like and found a black top for $15. It said slightly imperfect on the label but when the lady looked on the computer it said it was because the sleeves were short but it fitted me very well so I bought it along with a nice red and black stripped tunic top.

I then went to the supermarket before going home for a very late lunch and I was so hungry.

Jon phoned to say he had arrived but as it was raining he was not going to walk around the lake like we had when we stayed at the same place last August.

I took Tot out for a walk but it started to rain so we just went around the block.

I cleaned my kitchen cupboards on the outside and washed the cooked hood so all I need to do now is vacuum and clean the floor in the hall and hopefully the landlady will see that it is all well kept when she comes on Friday.

I did stir fry vegetables for my dinner then watched TV. It had started to rain and was really windy before I went to bed.
