Not much rain yet

I didn't get up till late, I keep telling Jon to leave the bedroom door open on Fridays but he doesn't and so I go back to sleep. I rushed up and had to wash my hair before going off to the Red Cross. We weren't really busy today, we are due to get the spring clothes in soon and I think everyone has bought what they need for winter. I did buy a beanie hat for me for when we go to the snow and also a very nice sarong. Noleen, the manager of the processing room is battling leukaemia t the moment and a friend came in to take photos of us all to show her to cheer her up. She needs a marrow transplant and her brother is a match but if you are over 40 in NZ it is difficult to be allocated a transplant bed but it is her only chance, she is too ill to travel to OZ so we are all waiting to see what happens

Got home and as Jon was out for lunch I took Totty down to Rotary Park before I had my lunch.

In the afternoon I made some oaty slice - a bit like flapjack but with pine nuts, coconut and pumpkin seeds. It smells really good but it is not as chewy as the one Alison makes. I also made a cheesecake for the weekend, white chocolate with berries on the top, looks really good but very big.

Took Totty for a quick walk and then watched TV till Jon came home.

We had fish and chips again and then watched TV. The rain we had been warned about finally started at bedtime.

WEATHER

Cloudy but warm 16 degrees, a bit of drizzle in the evening and then lots of rain before bed.
