Took tot out for her walk and it was really nice weather, the street is always so quiet.
Went out to Fraser Cove and had a coffee, I ordered a large and forgot this bar does REALLY large coffee, like a soup bowl!!!
Went to the supermarket to do the shopping and pottered around looking for all the right things with the Heart Foundation tick on them before eventually going home for lunch which was pate and toast and definitely not the Heart Foundation tick!!
After lunch I went over to Papamoa to get my meat from the butcher and also get some for Les. Unfortunately, they had sold out of pies - looks like the Heart Foundation is looking after me!!!
I then went back to Bayfair and took a sleeveless pullover of Jon's back to the shop as it had gone into a hole after one wash and it was not cheap. Unfortunately, I did not have the receipt but the assistant kindly went through the till for me - back five or six weeks - and found what she thought was it and now I have to check on the bank statement and then hopefully, they can get a new one.
I did intend to go for a pedicure but had a really bad tummy ache so went home and did my own toes although, due to painful ribs it did hurt. I watched the semifinal of Dancing on Ice which helped.
I have had three messages from Janice to collect books for the book sale all from the flyers I have put through.
Cooked some nice fish for dinner with cheesecake, shop bought, for pudding.
There is lots of rain forecast for tomorrow and the weekend and we have been told to make sure out emergency kits are up to date. due to the constant threat of earthquakes here in NZ everybody is supposed to have a kit ready, all I have, apart from what is in the cupboard and the freezer, is a 6 ltr container of water!!! maybe i should get onto that!!!
There are 1200 people stuck up Mt Hutt, near Christchurch. The weather turned bad and they had 200km winds and so nobody was allowed down on the road and they all had to bed down in the ski lodge. I take my hat off to the management as they were able to feed them all and keep them warm.
WEATHER
Bright and sunny all day 15 degrees
