The day after the op

I slept well but woke at 5.00 and then couldn't get back to sleep till about 7.00 when Jon got up so I dozed a bit longer then got up and had a shower. I felt very shaky. I had a cup of tea as I wasn't hungry.

Bronwyn called to see how I was and we had a chat and I sent out some emails to people. I made a nice bean and sardine thing for lunch and we had it in pitta bread. Jon reminded me of an Air New Zealand function we are due to go to tonight that I had forgotten about. It starts at 6.00 but we won't stay long.

Shirley called to ask how I was going with flyers and I told her I would need more from her next week at the dinner meeting.

I watched the final of Dancing on Ice and really enjoyed it. I hope they put it on again here next year.

I got ready to go out but I am feeling very hot and look very flushed in my face so I hope I am not coming down with an infection. Jon arrived home and commented on how red I was but we got out to the Devonport where the presentation was. There were quite a few people there and we were given our name badge, there was a complimentary bar and staff walking around with trays of hot nibbles. They did the presentation but it was standing only so I sat near the back on the chairs. It was a presentation about the new planes that we hope to fly home on in January and they look very nice and roomy and they will be serving 'on demand' food apart from all the main meals and all cooked fresh on the plane and it all looks very promising and they are ahead of most other companies. We met Ross and Sandra there and I had a chat to them about their holiday, they have just come back from Samoa and said it was lovely. We left after the presentation and were given a goody bag with some nice travel pots of shampoo etc.

We got home and I heated the casserole I had taken from the freezer so all very quick.

Poor Totty hasn't had a walk today and I feel very mean but I just didn't think my legs would go far.
