Sweet dreams Tom cat

We were up early this morning as I heard the phone but there was no message. After a shower and breakfast we had a call from Jane to say that James had called her at work to say he had made an appointment at the vets for 11.30. She was very upset and they allowed her to leave work and so she went to Jason's and called us and then went home to Centre Drive to see the cat and wait with them till it was time.

We took Totty down to the main beach as it was such a lovely day. We walked for 40 minutes and Totty was glad to get back to the car.

We took Totty home and then we went out to Gate Pa for coffee and to do a bit of shopping. We popped up to have a look at how to get into the golf course as I start my classes on Friday and like to know where I am going.

We then went right down into town and across the harbour bridge to the Mount and Bayfair to look for a fleece for Jon as he will need one for after swimming as it gets colder.

We then got back for lunch and I think Totty was glad we were back as it was 28 degrees in the living room so she was glad when we opened up the doors to the deck.

I went online and Heather was on MSN and she asked if I had heard from the girls and I told her no and so she told me that Tom cat had died naturally at 11.00. Unfortunately, Kirsty had not yet got back from work so after all she has done for him she wasn't there with him but Jane was. I am pleased it happened like that and they didn't have to take him to the vet.

Heather was very upset and wondered if she should go home but I told her not to as she shouldn't drive when upset and there was nothing she could do. I managed to convince her and told her to 'do' something so she said she would make cakes

Jon went off to the gym and I made a lovely mixed berry Tiramisu but it is so big.

We had a lovely rib eye steak for dinner with salad and some nice Brie and quince to follow and although the recipe says to leave the Tiramisu for 24 hours we tried it and it was very good. I will have to give some to Alison and Bronwyn tomorrow as we will never eat all of it.

Haven't heard from the girls, I hope they are OK.

WEATHER
