Golf Lessons again

It was a very busy morning at the Red Cross again today and as Sue was off ill Les and I were on our own. It was a nice morning though and we still managed to have our coffee.

I had brought a sandwich with me as I needed to go straight to my golf lesson so ate that up in our little room at about 12.15 and then got changed and left the shop at about 12.45.

I arrived at the golf club and met my group of ten other ladies. Some have never played golf, a few are like me and have had a few lessons and there are two who played 25 years ago and want to get back to it. One lady, Clair, is English and not been here long but we didn't get a chance to talk as we were straight into the lesson. The teacher is about 22 and a very nice girl. We did putting today and she had set out all sorts of 'aids' to help us. I thought the class was 2 hours but it was only one followed by another group which I am glad I am not in as there are about 16 of them and an hour was probably enough. I really enjoyed the class and look forward to next week's class which is chipping.

I got home and had a much needed cup of tea and then set to to make more bows for tomorrow.

Jon was due to go swimming but arrived home as I was getting back with Totty from our walk. He wanted to read Heather's dissertation as she needs to have it in by Monday and she asked us to read it through. He managed a good part of it and will do the rest tomorrow.

We had our fish and chips which was very nice. I made myself a glass of lemon, lime and bitters when Jon went to get the dinner. When he came back and we sat at the table he looked in my glass and asked what was on the straw. When I looked there was some horrible goo on it. When I looked at the bottle of lime it was mouldy and I had been drinking it!!!! I didn't think lime juice went off. I might have been better off with a glass of wine and put up with the itching now I am worried I am going to be ill through the night!

So far there have been 82 tickets sold for the show tomorrow so hopefully we will get some door sales and get it up to 100. Elizabeth called and asked me to pick up two lots of flowers tomorrow from Papamoa which we can do when we go out for coffee.

I had called Bronwyn and left her a message to tell her they had some jeans in her daughter's size. She called me to say she had bought two pairs for her daughter and one pair for herself and was very happy with them and couldn't believe the price.

WEATHER
Cooler this morning and a few drops of rain but then the sun came out and we were up to 21 again.
