A wet Sunday

Well it didn't turn out so bad for a wet day. We took a trip out to the garden centre, with Totty, to see if we could find some fencing that would fit across the side path so that we can let Totty out and she will be safe. We couldn't find anything but the man gave us some contact details where we can try. When we came home we read the papers and watched the cricket and the day just drifted along.

In the afternoon the sun came out and at 3.30 we took Totty down to the park. She has settled really well and stands at the top of the stairs when she wants to go out. On the way out I saw our neighbour, Brett, and asked him if he had any old bits of wood that we could use to block the side path. He kindly gave us a pair of old wooden garden gates which fit perfectly. We have put a plant trough in front and will get some plants growing in it and that will be fine. We walked around the park and sat by the water and watched the few people down there on their jet skis and wind boards and Tot watched the seagulls! There was a little girl collecting tiny crabs from the sand and then cooking them on the bbq! Ugh! Not to eat just for the sake of it. It was a lovely afternoon after all the rain in the morning I thought the whole day was going to be a washout.

We had some lovely lamb chops and sweet mashed potato and salad for dinner. All in all a good day. It makes such a difference having Totty here. I am beginning to feel like "me" again.
