Jon went off to work and I felt quite tearful but told myself not to be silly and tears would not help anyway.
First thing I needed to do was phone Telecom and get the Internet sorted. I spoke to a very nice young man who talked me through it and it all seemed to good to be true it worked with the password! I said goodbye and then tried to log on to Hotmail but my browser bar would not let me change from my home page so I phoned them back again and to cut a very long story short it took two hours and three phone calls to get it back working again on Firefox browser instead of Internet Explorer.
It was 11.00 by this time and I thought I had better get some housework and washing done so off I set to the laundry with all my dark colours for a light was. I don't know what buttons I pressed but the cycle took nearly three hours and I thought the clothes would come out fit for Ken and Barbie! Fortunately they were okay and I hung them out to dry as it was really hot.
I had vacumed while the clothes were washing and the ducted vacum cleaner is very good, the tube just plugs into a socket in the wall and all the dirt goes down to the container in the garage.
Jon came home for lunch which was nice as I was getting frustrated with the computer as I was trying to put photos on Facebook but the new Firefox would not let me so I explained to Jon what had happened. He made another account for me and I was away so I don't know what happened to my browser on my other account. No matter I am up and running again now and don't know what I would have done without Hotmail and Facebook.
While I was having my late lunch it started to rain and guess what all my washing was still out - wet again - poor clothes. It was by this time raining too hard to go and bring them in but I got them in later before the thunder started and they were okay.
Even though I haven't been able to get out today and have still not met anyone it hasn't been such a bad day all things considered.
Jon came home from work but had to go through the city to get here. I can see the main bypass from our balcony and I could hear police cars and see the traffic stopped so I called him and told him there was an accident and Ross showed him a different way but it took him 35 minutes. Had he called before he left I could have told him it was flowing again. Perhaps I can get a job in traffic updates!
It was dinner and bed. We didn't go out for a walk as it was a bit damp. Lets see what tomorrow brings. I am nearly up to date with my blog now.
